From one refrigerated truck to the whole Midwest

In 1991, Ron Callahan loaded up a single refrigerated truck and made his first delivery to three restaurants outside Springfield, Illinois. He'd spent the previous year building relationships with local farms, convinced that if he could connect great producers with great kitchens, the business would follow. He was right.

Ron's wife Diane ran the phones and the books from their kitchen table for the first five years. By 2001 they had a warehouse, a small fleet, and 80 accounts. Today their son Mark runs day-to-day operations — but Ron still comes in on Tuesday mornings, and the philosophy hasn't changed once: know your farmers, know your customers, never cut corners on quality.

What Drives Us

Ron spent a year talking to farmers before he ever made a single delivery. He wanted to know where the food came from before he put his name on it. That hasn't changed. Every supplier we work with has been vetted, visited, and held to the same standard we'd apply to our own kitchen.

We are not trying to be the biggest distributor in the state. We would rather be the one you actually trust. The one where you know the driver's name, the account manager picks up on the first ring, and what showed up on Friday is the same quality you ordered on Monday. That's the business Ron built. That's the business Mark runs today.
